FOUR PILLARS

The four Dominican Pillars are community, ministry (service), study, and prayer.

These are the standards of life that Dominicans live by. Dominican Convent School is built upon these pillars, creating a faith-filled community where students of all faiths are able to grow in their personal spirituality.

PRAYER

The pillar of prayer is woven throughout all dimensions of school life. From formal prayer and weekly mass, to more informal experiences Students learn that prayer is relevant in a variety of situations.

STUDY

The pillar of study revolves around Veritas, a Dominican motto meaning truth.
Students learn to seek truth through an outstanding educational program that encourages curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.

COMMUNITY

Students learn to work together, rely on each other, and help one another. They form lasting bonds.

SERVICE

Throughout the year, students participate in a variety of service activities and fundraising drives to support the less fortunate.
Students learn to share their gifts and talents with those around them, especially those in need.
